I’m a documentary photographer, my passion is for long-term projects on contemporary and social issues. Right now I’m investigating the consequences of the cocaine business globally.

Everything I bring changes the scene. I try to bring as little and as discrete gear as possible. One camera. One or two lenses and a notebook. That’s usually it.

I love my Hasselblad X1D for its depth, details and colours.

I also enjoy my Canon EOS R5, which is fast and very intuitive to work with.

My lenses range from 24 to 50mm with most around 35mm. For portraits, I will use 80 or 100mm and that’s pretty much it.

Unless it’s a stage portrait I don’t use flash. It kills intimacy and turns the situation into a photo shoot. No, thank you.

In the field, I might bring a standard small backpack with a bit of stuff and while taking pictures just a belt with a normal small pack and carry belt. I also have one of those small ThinkTank bags.

As for a tripod I travel with one, but still looking for the perfect one. It needs to be small enough for travelling, fast to unfold and high enough when unfolded.

Apple Macbook and additional hard drives is what works for me.

I really do like to try to travel light.
