I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in Italy and graduated from IED, European Design Institute, visual art course/photography, in Milan.

I love simple and direct photography, minimal compositions, the intuition of the moment – a style that is able to seize the fleeting moment and capture it in an image that has a powerful emotional impact.

As far as I’m concerned, being a wedding photographer is not just a matter of technique, which is obviously fundamental. It is a sort of pure “heart instinct.” it’s my own emotion that leads my eye to capture just “that” face expression, just “that” moment and no other. And the marvelous thing is that you can tell a story, a love story, using images that are so amazing just because they are real!

To know a new couple, listen to their story, and be involved in their best day: this is a great beauty and the privilege of my job.

I’m based in Bologna but I work wherever love stories call me.

I started shooting with a Nikon D300s that now it’s my second camera. I shoot usually with my Nikon D700 and Nikon 50mm f/1.8. I love the result of this lens and the 50mm can help to hide and capture the best moments of the day.

While waiting to buy the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, I like to shoot with the Nikon 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G lens. It allows me to obtain images with different perspectives and fun that handle all services.

I’ve got also a Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G, which I use mainly to take away from the reception and a Nikon 60mm f/2.8G, which is absolutely lovely for picking up details.

I love to shoot with natural light so I usually just use the flash in low light conditions or during the dance. I’ve got a Metz 44AF-1.

In addition to wedding services I shoot many engagement sessions and in these cases I discovered the trick of using remote controls. If the couple is not very relaxed in front of the camera I mount the remote to get some surprise shots.

Furthermore, to obtain a service other than the usual I snap some Polaroids during the day. I love the images that come out of my Mini Instax and seeing the guests enjoying themselves to form groups in order to have a Polaroid to take home.
